This newly designed eq-platform is made from aluminum, which is sturdier and more rigid.
Eq-platform for atrophotography
The visual eq-platform mentioned above can be converted into a dual-axis photographic eq-platform, which can be guided through an ST4 port.
Segments
The segments are swappable, which means that a single platform can cover latitudes between 30 and 60 degrees.
One set of segments is included, selected according to the target latitude.
Coverage map
The attached map shows which model can be used at which latitude. Each model was designed for a specific mid-range value. For instance, model 4045 is tailored for 42.5°. Additionally, there are overlaps between models; for example, model 5055 can also be utilized at latitudes 49° and 51°.
Power supply
Both the visual and photographic platforms can be powered by the corresponding battery pack. The battery pack attaches to the base of the platform using two Velcro straps, which are integrated into the pack. A charger is included with every battery pack.
Alternatively, the platform can also be powered by a standard 12V DC power supply.
